SUSTAINABILITY IN A NUTSHELL

OUR 7 PRINCIPLES

There is a standard that should be recognised, no matter the industry.

We select all of our brands according to the following 7 principles. All of our brands must comply with at least 5 of this criteria. We believe in progress rather than perfection.

We evaluate partnerships through an internal audit performed by our Sustainability department. This includes several forms that must be replenished by our brands and are subsequently verified.

FAIR CONDITIONS

1. FAIR TRADE

our key value

2. TRANSPARENCY

3. TRACEABILITY

The global garment and footwear industry is at a crossroad, making the building upon standards and data controls of utmost importance.

The purpose of our open-ended data and value chain control is to standardize all the product requirements for placement on OASEAS.

Evidence for sustainable practices needs to be supported by reliable data and information from all suppliers intervening at different stages of the value chain, and it is a prerequisite to overcome information asymmetry and, most importantly, achieve accountability.

4. Sustainable Resources

We want to create business models which are restorative and regenerative in the textile industry, providing benefits for business', the society and the environment overall. This need to comply leads us irremediably to rethink the way we produce in order to tip the balance in favor of the planet.

By changing the focus, a point of balance can be reached where growth is sustained in harmony with sustainability, opening the way for new brand experiences and new ways of perceiving business relationships.

5. Sustainable Business Practices

Our products are made to last and guarantee a lifetime value which should be protected at every delivery step. This is why OASEAS ensures high quality packaging to ensure that our timeless pieces to arrive at its best.

Likewise, one of our contractual preconditions is to make use of sustainable packaging. This way, we strive to reduce the global warming impact by working with Carbon Neutral Logistics and refusing any goods with an excess of packaging.

6. Sustainable Post-Purchase Strategy

One of the most important part of managing a mutual prosperous relationship is having a clear idea of what results you are producing, for whom, and why are those results so important.

OASEAS demands strong management-endorsed sustainability strategies by each supplier, which cover both supply chain processes and the alleviating unpredictability between suppliers and consumers.
