SUSTAINABILITY IN A NUTSHELL
OUR 7 PRINCIPLES
There is a standard that should be recognised, no matter the industry.
We select all of our brands according to the following 7 principles. All of our brands must comply with at least 5 of this criteria. We believe in progress rather than perfection.
We evaluate partnerships through an internal audit performed by our Sustainability department. This includes several forms that must be replenished by our brands and are subsequently verified.
1. FAIR TRADE
We believe that ethical brands are created by businesses that genuinely care about the society they belong to, contributing to the promotion of public good, integrity, and honesty.
We must realize that through the purchase of products with no consideration of where they come from and at what cost, we become a part of the problem. Fair-trade consumption ensures a production based on high ethical trade standards.
This principle entails creating opportunities for economically disadvantaged producers, fair payments, no child nor forced labor, commitment to non-discrimination, gender equity, women's economic empowerment, optimal working conditions and, ultimately, respect for the environment.
our key value
We choose our suppliers & stakeholders with great care. It is impossible for companies to make sure that human rights are respected, working conditions are adequate, and the environment is safeguarded without knowing where their products are being made. That's why transparency is essential. It is the first step in holding brands to account for their practices' human rights and environmental impacts.
Transparency ultimately requires that companies know and share their supply chain and under what conditions.

7. STRONG RELATIONSHIPS
One of the essential parts of managing a mutually prosperous relationship is having a clear idea of what results you are producing, for whom, and why those results are so important. OASEAS demands strong management-endorsed sustainability strategies by each supplier, which cover both supply chain processes and alleviate unpredictability between suppliers and consumers. Working with trusted stakeholders & suppliers means sharing common goals, pushing continuous innovation & stewardship, and coordinating efforts that make successful impacts.
